Many students chose MTI because it is a small institution offering a high degree of personalized attention. Many others chose MTI because they know someone who is successful in their career after graduating from MTI.

In most colleges and universities, approximately half of all courses that a student takes are totally unrelated to their major. These unrelated courses are in the area of general education like math, social studies, humanities, etc.

MTI offers a career focused education which means that 100% of the courses in each program are directly related to a student’s chosen career path. The objective of each MTI program is for students to be “employment ready” upon graduation.

Students tend to be more engaged in courses that are relevant to the career they are preparing for. Without the requirements to take extra general courses, MTI students complete their programs in less than a year instead of two or four years.

Our programs are designed to get you through the course work and launch you into a career. Depending on your area of study, we have flexible options:

• Clinical Medical Assistant:
  • 16 weeks, plus a 160 hour Externship.
• Medical Administrative Assistant:
  • 16 weeks.
• Business Services Administration:
  • 16 weeks.
• PC Network Support Specialist:
  • 18 weeks.

All of our classes are taught in English. You should have a strong understanding of the English language so you can master the course content and maximize your learning from our instructors.

Classes at MTI are generally smaller than average especially when compared to classes in most traditional colleges and universities. Typical class sizes run from 5 to 18 students.

One of the most common reasons graduates selected MTI is because our classes offer a smaller student to teacher-to-ratio than traditional colleges and universities which allows our instructors to provide more individualized attention when necessary.

Students at MTI seem to really enjoy the family-like feeling of community that exists among the students, instructors and staff. We are a family friendly school and understand that our students have very busy and active lives outside of MTI. Our instructors work jointly with our students to allow them the opportunity to maintain a balance between their active lives and academics.

Yes, instructors are available to provide one-on-one assistance to students at times designated by the instructor.

All classes at MTI are taught by instructors with industry related experience. MTI does not have teaching assistants provide instruction for any portion of our programs.

No, employers do not come to campus to recruit our students. However, MTI’s Career Services Department representatives have built relationships with many local employers who contact the school seeking our graduates when they have an appropriate job opening.

All MTI instructors have many years of industry related experience, and as a result, students attain the theoretical subject knowledge as well as real-world practical application skills specific to their field of study and career path.

MTI career services representatives provide career services for our students/graduates that includes mentoring, assistance with resumes and cover letters, interview preparation, post-interview “thank you” letters, as well as ongoing one-on-one career development support. They also assist in creating job search engine applications and profiles (i.e. Linkedin, Glass Door, etc.). Additionally, they provide referrals to employers that we’ve established professional relationships with as well as assistance with E-Mail alerts on new job lead postings.

MTI provides a learning environment that is very welcoming and supportive to our students. Our programs provide the training content that is specific to what employers are seeking in candidates in today’s competitive job market. The training at MTI is designed to allow students the opportunity to complete their training program and secure an industry related career in less than a year.

MTI’s training programs have a unique course schedule where students take only one course at a time. Research shows that this approach results in significantly higher levels of understanding and retention, especially when compared to four or five courses at a time as is the case in many other institutions. Some courses have a duration of only one or two weeks, while others may take up to three months to complete. MTI students seem to appreciate this approach to higher education. Many students report that they experience better grades and higher levels of learning than they have experienced in previous academic settings.
